Question : Can anyone tell me a faster way to cash a student loan check?
Most of the banks have a 5-14 day holding period before I'm able to recieve the cash. I have called and searched numerous places and no one else will cash my student loan check. There has to be a faster way.

Do you have a account with any bank? If you don'tthen you need to open an account with one. Theyare one likely to cash your check if you have anaccount with them. If you do have an account Ireally don't see why they would hold the check. Ihave students and when i receive a refund I go tomy credit union to cash it with no problems orholds. Now there's an idea try opening an accountwith the credit union with them in some cases youwon't have to open it with any funds. I didn't andthey cashed my check the same day I open theaccount.

if it's written on a local bank, go to that bankand cash it..they can see that the funds arethere..if not waiting is pretty standard..I have achecking account and I have to wait about 7 daysto get the actual cash.
