Question : How do I go about getting a personal loan when I have no credit?
I am 18, just getting prepared to go to college, and I have no credit whatsoever. I don't need student loans because my dad pays for my school. However, my boyfriend and I live together and we just bought $1500 worth of furniture from his brother. Now, we were supposed to stick to a payment plan since we don't have a huge income, but they want the money now. My boyfriend is just going through bankruptcy so he cannot get a loan of any sort. How can I go about getting a personal loan to pay them off? We are both employed so I am not worried about paying it off, I am clueless as to how to even get the loan if I can. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

you will need a cosigner, or beable to build somecredit. you can do that pretty easy. get a cellphone a make sure you pay your bill on time. onceyou have a phone, electricity, ect hooked up inyour name, all of these build credit. get a creditcard. buy one thing and pay it off. that willbuild your credit fast too.

Ok since you dont have credit you can either applyfor a small school loan and take the moneydirectly which is in a way fraud but you are inschool and school loans cant be denied to any oneunless they have retched credit. Your other optionis that you will need a cosigner that has goodcredit and that a bank would approve so prettymuch they have to have credit and be able to coverthe payment amount in case you should becomeunable to pay the amount and go to a credit unionthey typically approve easier over a major bankbranch so good luck with your loan

You would have to find a good co-signer who willsign for you. If you got the furniture from hisbrother, and agreed to payment arrangements, theycan't really ask for all the money up front. Youshould have been smart and gotten it inwriting....
