Question : I transferred two credit cards to a new credit card. How long does it take to officially go through?
I did this last week. My new credit card is showing the balances of the others, but the old credit cards are not showing that they've been paid.

All Answers: Answer #1 Usually one or two billing cycles before it showsup. You still need to make at least the minimumpayment on the old cards until it goes through toavoid late charges. - answered by crazydave
Answer #2 technically speaking, they were not paid off. thedebt was not paid off. you just moved and renamedit. that is why it's called CONsolidation. It's aCON... a lie... moving debt and renaming it don'tsolve your problems... paying off the debt does. - answered by gazelleintense.com
Answer #3 If it has posted to your new account, it shouldshow up on your old accounts within a week orso...call them and ask if there are anytransactions posting which may not be showing; youdon't want to end up paying interest on both theold and the new accounts. I have done transferswhich have posted immediately to the new card, buttook over a week on the old card, but when it didpost, it was dated back to a day after I initiatedthe transfer. - answered by Cara D
