i work in a bank so can answer this!! to take outany loan or credit card, no matter if you haveproducts with them you will always have to becredit scored, credit scoring is where they checkif you have defaulted on any payments with them orhad charges etc, and credit referencing (whichisnt always neccessary if you already haveaccounts and use them well) is when they check allyour credit history... everytime you do this itcomes up on your credit score as a new check andif you have a bad credit score, the more you tryto take out things, the lower it gets!!

The first answer is correct. If you apply for acredit limit increase on a credit card, anadditional amount on your existing overdraft, orfo a top up an an existing loan, the creditcompany will do another credit check. This is tosee if your current existing debts are beingmanaged well. This is a requirement. If a creditordid not do this, it could be classified asirresponsible lending by the FSA (FinancialServices Authority).

you can't get away from having another creditcheck done, it takes a couple of mintues for themto pull up your credit record, Today only a fewclicks of the mouse and they have all your infothats at the credit bureau. you can allways go toa loan shark, most pond shops will loan you money, but be prepaired to pay high interest rates, andby all means don't miss a payment. That's for herein canada not sure where you are located. also ifyou have items of value you can borrow moneyagainst them, let's say you own a 5000.00$ watch, you take it to the pond shop and they would loanyou 20% of the value and all you have to do is paythem a few percent a month back untill your readyto pay back the full amount.
