Question : What is the ideal credit card for a college student to get?
I am looking to get a credit card basically for emergency purposes (mostly for those unexpected car repairs) and christmas time when I don't have the money for gifts (I have a large family). What would be the ideal credit card for me to get? I have2 store credit cards, which are always paid off before I even recieve the bill, and an excellent credit score due to those cards, and student loans. I am looking for a card that doesnt have an annual fee, any suggestions?

Go though your bank..look for one with no annualfee, a credit limit of $1000 and look for a lowinterest rate.

Pick the best interest rate and and rewardsprogram like Discovers cash back. Most importantis to pay it off as quick as you can. Let any cashback build up for next Christmas. Good luck

My daughter had good luck with those offers thatyou get for college student plans. They have highinterest rates (but you pay off every month, sowho cares?) and low limits (but you're a studentand don't need a big limit) but with many there isno annual fee.

I would actually suggest for all college studentsnot to get a credit card while in school. It istoo easy for students to charge items and delaypaying it off, getting into financial trouble thatcan last for years. But, if you are going to getanother credit card, try to find one with a fixedinterest rate and to research for one that is thelowest you can find. It should have no annualfee. And perhaps one that offers points orbonuses for spending.

But it really depends on what you are looking for.Do you want a good rewards program, frequent fliermiles, a low APR, etc.? These are things youshould consider, and make sure you don't get onewith an annual fee. Even if you are just startingout, there are plenty of companies out therewilling to give credit without charging you ayearlyfee.-----------------------------------------http://www.bestcreditrates.net
