Question : How to determine if I am a legal resident for FAFSA?
I have lived in Nevada for over a year now. I moved here from South Carolina to find work. I still have my SC driver's license because I never got around to getting a Nevada license and also because I don't own a car. Am I technically a Nevada resident or do I need to get a Nevada license or identification card to be a legal resident? Or can I keep my SC license and still get financial aid from FAFSA?

All Answers: Answer #1 It doesn't matter what state you live in to getfinancial aid from fafsa. It is a FEDERALapplication, as long as you a US citizen or aneligible non citizen (not illegal) you should befine. You are a Nevada resident.... technicallyyou are suppose to change your DL within like, 30days of moving. You can put your SC lic on thefafsa if you want. - answered by Found-1
