Question : Does having a foreclosure and not paying your property taxes affect US citizenship application?
I have not been able to pay my house for the past six months, it went into foreclosure and know I got to pay Property Taxes but I dont have the money either. Could all of this affexct my ability to get my citizenship.

All Answers: Answer #1 Most times the mortgage company will pay yourtaxes during the foreclosure procedure. Soregardless the property taxes will be paid. Idon't think your credit would effect yourapplication. - answered by Kelly
Answer #2 One thing that immigration looks into isthat oncethe process is started you wontbe a burden insociety or ask for foodstamps, they want to knowthat theyregiving citizenship to hardworkingpeopleFile your taxes on time and you shouldnthavethat much of a problem. Now yourcredit is anotherthing, once youre acitizen then you have to worryaboutthe foreclosure and your payments thatreallydoesnt help you, I dont know whatstate your frombut here in texas youmiss 2 payments and youreoutta thereso youre lucky you got 6 months. - answered by coleblondehead
