me and my husband got a leter saying foreclosure and we dont know what it is are we going to lose our home??

We need to know more about the letter but if youhave not paid your mortgage then it probably is.In that case call your bank ASAP!

Did the letter go into detail? Have you not beenpaying on your home? Have you been paying yourtaxes?

If you haven't been making your mortgage payments,then yes this may mean the lender has filedforeclosure proceedings against you. You have anopportunity to redeem the property at the judgmentor 6 months after foreclosure. But eventually youwill be forced to move if you do not make up allthe payments and penalties.
