This is not a good time for that.Just a year ortwo ago breathing would have qualified you forregular increases...doubling even. Now it's adifferent world. Everyone who looks like theymight be a risk is having their limits cut andinterest rates increased. My WAG is that you wouldhave to call them up and ask them for it.

Sometimes it's as easy as picking up the phone. If you have not done so, call the customer serviceline and ask if your limit can be increased. Ofcourse, the availability of credit is a littlemore difficult these days, but it doesn't hurt toask.

Actively use your CCs and make payments on time toshow that you're responsible and capable ofhandling a larger limit. Then you can wait untilthey automatically increase it for you or you canput in a request to increase the limit.

You need to use those cards about every 4 monthsto keep them active. Some accounts are beingclosed after 9 months of inactivity. Most banks arecutting limits. Getting an increase is much moredifficult now. If you charge 70% or 80% of thelimit on a card and pay it off each month, you aremore likely to get an automatic increase.
