Reviews: An Other Bad Experience with TCF Bank in Ann Arbor: After 4 years of college I went with my son about 10 days ago to close his account. He had a few transactions done the days before that were all posted on the screen and the bank manager subtracted the pending fees and gave the balance in cash to my son. Eight days later we received from the TCF in Minneapolis a letter saying that there was a balance of $67 dollars and therefore the bank is charging $165 dollars extra for the...service. I called the costumer service line to try to clarify the issue and because they were of no help what so ever I asked for the Ann Arbor Branch Phone to speak with the Bank Manager. The costumer service refused to do so... From my experience with this bank I can only advise you one think: dosen???t matter that this Bank is connected with the University just go to any other bank in town. You will just receive better service.

Reviews: Ive been with this bank for a long time. I started with Great Lakes bank before TCF took over. I liked both of them until this year. In a difficult economy TCF like so many banks in fear and greed decided to change policies just when everyone was already hurting the most. Im closing both of my accounts and moving to UofM credit union or MidWest credit union.

Reviews: Im done with this location! TCF is great but this Briarwood branch is clueless if you need anything beyond the straight deposit. People are superficially friendly but dont know up from down. They have tried fixing a problem (initially caused by the locations incompetency) multiple times but all we have accomplished so far is consistently wasting my time... all the way up the assistant manager level
