Reviews: Dont bother to call; they never answer the phone then the call is transferred to customer service in California. I went in to fix my mortgage loan that BoA has managed to screw up. Just like calling customer service no one in the Killeen branch new anything about banking or customer service. All they did is pick up the phone and call the same service numbers that I had already called with no results. Then the clerk hands me the phone to solve the problem myself. Nothing was fixed. Bottom line BoA has moved my 10yr old mortgage loan over to collections due to loan modification. No one at BoA can say why. No late payments no adverse payment problems and the $127000 loan is only 10yrs old with only $11000 left on it. This bank is worthless. Not the bank of the 1990s before deregulation that I used to deal with for my business loans. BoA is a prime example of how deregulation in 1999 allowed banks to create a mess. Stay away from them.

Reviews: My husband recently purchased a vehilce from Cleo Bay. The sales associate was super nice and very helpful however when we went to see the finance specialist to do the paperwork I had lots of reasonable questions. What is our finance rate what is the purchase prices of the truck what do the payments include? When my husband began signing each piece of paper I would review the items for what he was signing the finance specialist would pass him a paper and give a brief description of what was being signed. At some point the finance specialist stopped describing the paperwork being passed...(A red flag to me). As I looked to the papers being passed I noticed that they were asking my husband to take a life insurance poilicy on himself for the auto loan. First I was currious but as the finance guy began to speak he make me more hesistant. I was morbidly insulted as I took it personal that they were asking for a life insurance policy. The honda employee told us that without this policy our payments would be more expensive and that it was helping us get a perferred APR. He also stated that we were getting an extended warranty and simoniz included and the payments would be the same with or without the purchase of these extras. Let me be the first to say...I am not stupid nothing is free and how in the world could payments be the same or more without having pay an extra 3000 for life insurance gap insurance simoniz and extended warranty. Mathmatically that is not logical. I spoke to the fiinance guy regarding my concerns and how he did not make sense but he insistedd that it reflected in the perferrred APR. Me still not convinced and a business law student went to a lawyer and I was reassured in my instict that we were being lied to. What Cleo Bay Honda was doing is called PAYMENT PACKAGING it is illegal and fraudulent. I am now demanding recalculation of the payments and finance amount and have made a report to BBB and Honda Headquarters and will certainly make sure this never happens again.

Reviews: Overall I am very happy with Extraco. I have been banking with them since they bought out Heights State Bank 8 years ago. Every time I have had a problem someone at Extraco was there to sort it out for me. In addition Extracos free checking really is free. They do no charge any sort of maintenance fees unlike certain notorious local banks (:::cough::: First National :::cough:::). My only 3 real gripes are location hours of operation and online banking. There is nothing Extraco can easily do to improve their physical locations (FM2410 and Florence Road have bad traffic). However it would be great if they could stay open past 5pm weekdays. As bad as they are First National keeps their locations at Wal-Mart and H-E-B open til 8pm. My problem with online banking is their insistence on frequent mandatory password changes. Studies have shown time and again that If it aint broke dont fix it. Forcing customers to frequently change their passwords to something more and more asinine causes more problems than it solves. Let me pick a password and stay with it.
