Reviews: The worst. First I got pre-approved thru their website which congratulated me upon the first step buying a car from their delightful company. Then a representative called me and congratulated me again and confirmed my appointment to go Torrance CA. I informed her that I had bad credit and had been turned down before by another dealer so I did not want to waste my time nor a wasted trip on the train. She assured me that I had already been pre-approved and they were the bank they had a 98% approval success rate! and she would have the salesperson call me. The other dealers she told me didnt have the experience or the banking power to finance their own vehicles like the mighty DRIVETIME. The salesman Max called me and I told him that I only had a very small down and he confirmed my appt and promised me he would get me in a car for that downpayment. I caught a train and a bus ready to meet the salesman who I thought I had confirmed an appointment with-twice. Nope. Out comes this sloppy man with his shirt unbuttoned down to his belly...yes. He says that Max was his boss and he would be helping me instead. At that point I really should have turned around and left. But...when you need a car and Drivetime promises you the world..and they really have a good hustle and flow thru the website callback callbacketc...you believe it all. Well they dont do what they promise. They are like all the other dealerships and a few notches below. They run your credit and feed it back to you as if you are unaware that you have bad credit. I didnt pay that bill either? OMG. I have 2 chargeoffs? WTF. Drivetime does it in a bizarre and elementary way. They get a piece of paper out and score you on a level of A - F to determine your level of creditworthiness vs. downpayment. Guess where I fell. I didnt make the Drivetime honor roll and if you have any credit problems then neither will you and do yourself a favor and steer far away from the BSTIME. Lastly Mr. Hairy Chest had the nerve to tell me that I would need a down payment of $2500 for their cheapest car which is about 9500. Although in actuality a Ford Aspire and Chevy Aveo circa 1999 is not really worth that. He told me either come up with the cash or a co-signer and then yes I am approved. Really wow Drivetime really IS different then all the rest! Accept way cooler cars. Unfortunately I had to leave the Aveo Aspire and that faded Hyundai Accent behind. But Ill keep saving.

Reviews: please please dont go here this place is such a scam i swear!! i am in the military and i have an allotment set up and it comes out automatically but they make up fees and call me every couple of weeks and say they will repo the car if i dont pay. i have been current with this account since i have bought the car and they harrass me all the time it is a bad idea

Reviews: Everytime I go to this bank there is this one representative (same one every time) who insists that I use the atm to deposit my money (shes like a cockroach that never leaves you alone). I always tell her no but she is always so persistant that one day I finally used it to cash my checks and it was not a problem. Today I was going to go to the teller since I had checks AND cash. She found me however and insisted that even with cash I could use the atm. So I did. The atm took my cash without giving me a receipt and when they looked into they realized that it had no record of receiving any kind of transaction. I told them the dollar amount that I put into the machine but after opening the machine they claimed that I was mistaken and there was less than I thought. They refused to give me my money back.

Reviews: BEWARE!!! DON???T BE A VICTIM OF THIS CAR SCAM!!! I accompanied a friend of mine to buy a car from these people. I could not believe my eyes and ears. As soon as we walked onto the lot to look at cars they swooped down upon us and whisked us to their finance office. They got my friends social security number wrote it down on a napkin and then proceeded to run her credit without written authorization. Moments later when they came back out the salesman said ???Based on your credit you qualify for one of these 3 cars.??? I don???t understand how ones credit has anything to do with the make and model of a car; I thought it only determined the amount one can finance. When my friend objected to the choices cars the salesman said in a room full of people ???With your shitty credit that???s all you???re going to get.??? At this point I was not about to stand by while my friend was publicly disrespected so I asked him ???How can you speak to people that way???? His reply was ???Who the hell are you???? I told him that I was a friend and that I was not going to allow my friend to be treated in such a manner. He said ???You are welcome to stay if you keep your mouth shut otherwise take a hike.??? As we got up to walk out the manager ran up to us and tried to get my friend to sign a form authorizing them to run a credit report. When we refused they all of a sudden became very nice and said ???I will get in trouble if you don???t sign.??? When she refused to sign both the salesman and the manager stood between us and the door and wouldn???t allow us to leave without signing. Against my advice my friend signed it and we left. I called corporate to complain about my experience and spoke with Gail Dow from the legal department. She asked me if I bought a car. When I said no she said ???We have nothing to talk about.??? and then hung up on me. Cars Yes Ugly Duckling Drive Time are all the same people. They have to change their name often because of their bad rep. You can change the name from Cars Yes to Drive time but they are still the same predators. You can put a tuxedo on a pig and its still a pig.

Reviews: I dont know if their branches are excellent or not. Yet I am sick of their VISA card policies. Never apply their credit card nor do balance transfers with their offer. They will make money out of you with their hidden balance transfer charges and special payment posting policy. I got hit by them so badly. Ended up after using their credit card for a month and in order to stop them making more money out of me I have to stop using their card. I have excellent credit and paid them off every single statement. However I learned a painful lesson from doing balance transfer business with them. Dont let their small benefit blind you! They will get you back big time. Not worth to have any accounts with them. I am boycotting them. Check out all the online complaint websites to read how bad a company WAMU is.
