Reviews: I dpn't know if I missed the memo about coming to Tortilla Jo's in a bad mood but something was sure down in that place. Our server barely made eye contact let alone smile. We explained we were there to celebrate two birthdays and she breathed a sigh loud enough to be heard by the table across from us. Minutes later she came back with another waiter and announced that she was going on a break. Is it me or when you let someone in the service industry such as a waiter or hostess know that it's your birthday I thought it was customary to offer a "Happy Birthday!". The new server was not informed by our previous server that we were celebrating so we had to let him know and he had nearly the same reaction. Now for the food. It was luke warm. Great quantity but not much flavor. Tortillas came with three of the entrees. They were brought to us very near the end of the meal and only after we reminded our server. Drinks. We were drinking water. We asked that a pitcher be left at our table since it was our beverage of choice for the evening. We were told that they were not allowed to leave the pitcher so instead they brought 5 extra glasses and sat them all down by my husbands plate. We decided to cut our losses and asked for immediately for the check. Our server asked if we were going to wait for the cake (assuming he meant birthday cake) and we stated that we were not happy with the service. No manager was called over. No apologies were made. No explanations given.
