Reviews: I have to say Im very disappointed with the lack of communication or service provided by this firm. I first met with Mr. Jacobs back in early summer and gave him the deposit to retain his service; it???s a straight forward chp 7 filing. What was said during my initial consultation visit regarding his fee is different than when I met with him at the final paper signing before submitting it to the court. He said we can work out the attorney payment as long it is paid in full within 60 days of the case approval because he understands people don???t have money set aside to pay all upfront. The document is for informational only because he has to provide his fee by law. Two months have gone by since I paid the court filing and submit the questionnaires and I hear nothing from the firm called to check on the status of my case. I finally meet Mr. Jacobs and inform him I never got a letter from his firm to come in for the final signing and had to call his office. He was not very receptive and was kind of condescending that I must have gotten the letter because thats why Im here. At the end of our final paperwork review he asks if there were any outstanding fee left to be paid to his firm I informed him I still owe him XXX$ and I plan to pay half when I get the letter for the court appearance and the remainder when it is finalized based on my understanding of the consultation visit with him. He abruptly pointed to the service fee document and said ???it???s in the document all fee must be paid in full before my office can submit your paperwork to the court because we can???t ask for the remaining fee once the case is approved for bankruptcy??? I kindly reminded him that???s not what he told me during my consultation he again points to the document.. needless to say I had to scramble to come up with the remaining fee because 1) he already has my deposit to retain his office service and 2) the court filing fee has been cashed. Before leaving his office I ask how long I should expect to receive the court appearance letter and was told in about 3 weeks before calling his office. It???s been over a month and I called his office ask for the status; come to find out THEY HAVEN???T FILED!!!! I???m stuck with this firm since they got my money and may have to babysit them. What a HEADACHE should have listen to friends who have used the Law Office of Pat Forte for their bankruptcy. I would NEVER recommend anyone I know to this firm!

Reviews: I hired Gary Shellgren to appraise two commercial buildings in the Bay Area. He assured me that he could do the job and was well qualified. He asked me to send him $1600 up front in the form of a money-order. That was three months ago!! He has yet to provide any service for the money sent him. He does not return phone calls and is very un-professional. I dont know what his problem is I only know that I have had to hire another appraiser which I could not afford. He will have the information in two weeks. Mr. Shellgren told me he was having problems coming up with figures because of the current market. I have talked to several appraisers and they said that is ridiculous!!! I am filing other complaints and will file against him in small claims court. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB.
