Reviews: This bank caused us more headaches than we ever would have imagined it would be possible. Most banks would love the type of business account we tried opening with Union Bank. After doing research online and going into every bank in San Diego we carefully made our decision to open our account with Union Bank because of their surprisingly low fees. Everything went great until the manager got involved (this was at the Kearny Mesa branch). After asking us two questions about our business during the process of opening the account she left with the words I will be right back. She never came back. Two days later we get a phone call from her telling us that she had put a hold on our entire account. She didnt understand how our business worked so she felt uncomfortable with it and had decided to close our account. Of course we protested and set a time and date to meet with her. We had to go through a lot of paperwork to try and explain to her what we were doing. On the day of the meeting she was late. Not only did we feel incredibly disrespected but also discriminated against. After talking to her for about an hour she still didnt understand how our business works even though its the simplest thing in the world but at least she was willing to talk to her boss about it and make a decision so that we can get on with it. Just a reminder at this point - we were NOT trying to get a credit card a loan or anything. We were simply trying to open a business CHECKING account. After having our account (which we had already made a deposit in!) on hold for an ENTIRE WEEK they call and tell us that their verdict was that they wanted to close our account. The most shocking thing was that once the manager found out how much money we had in our personal account she tried to get us to open a premium account with them - sure after all the hassle we had with you?!? The manager at this branch is judgmental disrespectful rude and she didnt follow through with a single thing she said she would do. We would never recommend you do business with this bank in any way shape or form. The higher up you go the more difficult it gets and the more involved you get with them the more headaches they will cause you. By the way this is the only review I have ever bothered to put up on any review site but people have to be informed of the disrespect happening at this bank. Any other bank in San Diego would have loved to have an account with an average balance of $200000 but not these guys!

Reviews: My babys daddy got upset with me cause I made him wait. I called this company and although the phone was answered immediately I was put on hold for over 5 seconds. What kind of company puts you on hold for 5 seconds? Can you believe I counted 5 seconds? Dont get me wrong the operator was friendly and nice but I had to go off on her. Its not right placing someone on hold Im busy I have to get money from my babys daddy and he was running out the door. I was able to get the information I was looking for but next time dont put me on hold ever you hear ever. Nobody puts me on hold not when my babys daddy is waiting in the car.

Reviews: If I were interested in getting a small loan for a short period of time this is where I would go. They are friendly and their prices cannot be beaten. Also you can pick up tools and electronic equipment at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Finally the guns are there and you will have a hard time finding another company with lower prices.

Reviews: I dont know if their branches are excellent or not. Yet I am sick of their VISA card policies. Never apply their credit card nor do balance transfers with their offer. They will make money out of you with their hidden balance transfer charges and special payment posting policy. I got hit by them so badly. Ended up after using their credit card for a month and in order to stop them making more money out of me I have to stop using their card. I have excellent credit and paid them off every single statement. However I learned a painful lesson from doing balance transfer business with them. Dont let their small benefit blind you! They will get you back big time. Not worth to have any accounts with them. I am boycotting them. Check out all the online complaint websites to read how bad a company WAMU is.
