Reviews: My experience with bank of America has gone from bad to worse. The only reason I switched to Bank Of America is because I recently moved they are no PNC branch locations in Florida. When I opened my checking account on 8/13 in the Bank of America location on 401 E Las Olas Blvd Fort Lauderdale FL I was advised to open 2 accounts because the checking would be linked to the savings. The more believable reason is the customer service rep wanted to book two sales instead of one for her own personal benefit. The reason I say this is because I called to confirm the two accounts were linked (the savings was supposed to be linked to the checking for over draft protection) and they were not! Isn???t a customer service rep supposed to make decisions and give advice based on the best possible solution for the customer? My second problem is that I deposited over a 5 grand check on 9/21 and was told the money would not be available until 9/28. Since when does it take 7 days for a check to clear? Isnt Bank of America supposed to be technically advanced and highly competitive vis-a-vis to other banks? There is no way it takes Bank of America 7 days to verify a check has cleared that is simply impossible! I am not happy at all so far and have contacted BOA to hear specific comments how they plan on adressing my extreme dissatisfaction with the unnaceptable chain of events described above.
