Reviews: Ive been a customer since 2000 and Ive seen this company turn into the worst company Ive ever had to deal with. They now charge $7/month for their free checking you have to pay for checks there are no benefits whatsoever to having an account with them. My first 6 or 7 years with them was great but over the past 3 to 4 years Ive had problem after problem all caused by Commerce and their thieving policies. Once when I presented a representative in the Lenexa branch with printed proof off THEIR OWN WEBSITE that they had stolen a $35 overdraft fee from me when my account was several hundred dollars positive he actually told me that the website was not reliable and the information was usually not correct. I actually had to complain to the Better Business Bureau for them to admit they made a mistake and correct their error. And that was just one of a dozen negative interactions with them in the past few years. Additionally their policies and customer service are atrocious. Keep your money in a jar in your cupboard. Youll earn the same interest as a Commerce checking account youll pay fewer fees and you wont have to deal with Commerces insane policies and uncaring reps.
