Reviews: I was a customer for years and gave Tam Bank many chances to redeem themselves but since Garwood took over it has been a disaster. Aside from the usual mistakes on check orders and what not there are more serious mistakes such as checking my credit without my consent (though they did reverse this) and most recently I received a Visa Check card when I had closed my accounts there more than a year ago. The staff in the branches are nice but as soon as you get to know them they are relocated or mysteriously dissappear. The interest rates are ridiculous in comparison to just about every other bank and their green initiative is a joke they have the same green business status as an oil change car garage. I believe that the problem is an incompetent team of higher ups I pulled everything out of Tam Bank and closed all my accounts / lines of credit fearing the safety of my personal information after a series of problems involving the bank and information security. More than a year later I am still receiving sensitive information from them by mail. I would not advise anyone to open an account at Tam Bank and if you have one and have been lucky enough to not have the issues I did it is only a matter of time. The right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing there....
