Reviews: My son attended Providence Christian School during the 2007-2008 school year and the school is horrible! The school administration requested that my husband and I sign a written agreement for tuition upon paying them almost $1900 before my son could begin school; however I was the only one there to enroll him. My husband never signed the agreement; however his signature was later falsified on the document. During the three month period that my son attended Providence Christian the staff was highly unprofessional and discriminatory to both my son and my husband and I several times and was especially rude when I withdrew him. In addition for about two of the three months that my son attended the school he was taught by a substitute teacher who was not qualified to teach as my son???s initial primary teacher left as he was not getting paid! In addition the Principal called my son challenged to which he is not. Providence Christian claims to offer a quality Christian education and they claim to work with families in a professional Christian manner; however this is hardly the case. My son received no grades for the entire time that he was at Providence Christian and after he was withdrawn we had great difficulty getting the school to produce any grades. Finally when the grades were produced (almost a week after he was withdrawn) I was shocked find that my son was only taught Creative Writing Grammar and Geography i.e. no Social Studies no Math no Science etc. while he attended the school. (Please note that this issue was reported to the GA State Department of Education). Some time after I withdrawn my son from the school the school began writing to request payment for an additional almost $1600 in tuition they say that my husband and I owe. Throughout this last year my husband and I have written several letters of complaint to Providence Christian regarding our sons treatment and have advising them of the falsified signature on the agreement with no return response from the school. Recently Providence Christian hired a collection agency to take over the account Collectron. This agency contacted me at work a few months ago and advised me that they were going to report the account to all the credit bureaus and sue me. I advised the manager of Collectron of the situation with the ongoing dispute and faxed him all of the dispute letters previously sent to the school. The manager indicated after hearing my story that his office would not accept the collection file with an ongoing dispute and that he was sending the file back to the client. A few days ago I found out that the file was reported to all three credit bureaus (to which I have also written letters of dispute regarding this account). It shall be noted that no one from Collectron provided ANY written notification of the collection action nor were ever contacted by Collectron in any way after the initial call. Also the company lied about their intended actions. These were both violations of the Fair Credit Report Act and this was reported to the Federal Trade Commission. We strongly urge all parents considering Providence Christian to seriously reconsider your choice. Providence Christian does not provide a quality Christian education. The administration is rude unprofessional and discriminatory. In addition the school seems to care nothing about childrens education. They seem care only about money and do business dirty with collection agencies that dont follow the law. Please note that someone deleted my first posting of my review but I will continue to post to warn parents of the situation with this school as I have a right to have my voice heard!
