Reviews: SCUMMIEST REALTY COMPANY EVER. My boyfriend had them as landlords a while back on a house in Westminster and got really fed up with the attitude of the owner Kathryn MacGeraghty. If you want to know more about the sort of thing this company pulls check out their Yelp review site or the blog of one of their victims. There were a couple of comments here and on the blog page that have since been taken down. Kathryn refused to fix one ladys place even though her carpet was all messed up and they had promised to fix it. When she got fed up and withheld payments (just on the security deposit not even on rent) Kathryn served her with a 3-day notice to vacate. It looks like that lady posted here and Kathryn responded by posting her actual name on the board for all to see and calling her a deadbeat. Im not surprised she took down her post. EDIT: After I posted this review the first time Kathryn responded by asked me if Im that ladys legal counsel. No Ive never met this poor woman and I wouldnt even know her name if not for your violation of her privacy rights. I dont have to be a lawyer to know that would be worth going after in court. You stay classy Kathryn! I think its particularly hilarious that youre accusing other people of making fake accounts now. Pot calling the kettle black hmm? I tried to post this edit and Yahoo deleted it and wouldnt let me repost for 30 days but now this review is staying up. One other story was removed from a bunch of message boards but has since been repeated by the owner of the blog. There was a guy who moved out of a house rented by Blue Sage and didnt get much of the security deposit back although the house was clean. Eventually he sent a demand letter to BS and they gave back all the money but then sold the debt to a collections agency and now the guy cant get a house because his credit is screwed. That is fraud Kathryn! What happened to my boyfriend is nothing compared to either of these stories but its the sort of thing you should expect if you ever get involved with Blue Sage. And like it says on the Yelp page Kathryn makes a bunch of fake accounts and then writes posts about how great her company is. You might notice that there are a bunch of positive reviews here all posted on the same day. THESE ARE SOCK PUPPET ACCOUNTS! Whats even funnier is that until the most recent fake reviews Kathryn doesnt even try to make it look like she gives a s**t about a single one of her tenants by fakeposting from their perspective. All she cares about is looking good to prospective homeowners who want to rent their houses out. Its as if the idea of keeping her tenants happy never even enters her head. There are other posts on here by people who have worked for Blue Sage and were very upset about how things turned out or who were living in houses whose management got take over by them and got screwed up that way. And I dont see a single credible post by anyone whos actually pleased with how their house was managed by Kathryn. If you value your happiness peace of mind money or credit score DONT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY IN ANY WAY! If its too late for you which it probably is if youre reading this post then I have to repeat the advice that someone else put up here before it got taken down. You can complain to the Denver BBB and you can complain to the Colorado Department of Real Estate. Or you can take it to small claims court usually in the same county where you were renting a house. If everyone calls Kathryn on her terrible behavior maybe we can get her realtors license taken away. God knows she doesnt deserve to have one.
