Reviews: Wow! I dont know what was up with that second review but that person does not reflect the people I have spoken to about the Sherman Oaks location. I have banked there for 8 years and while yes I noticed they did go through a change in staff a couple of years ago my experience and those Ive talked to believe the change is for the better! I have had not 1 problem with this bank. The staff go waaayy above and beyond to help any of the customers. Sounds to me like this person just had a bad day and took it out on the people at that branch.

Reviews: If you want to be pampered with the famous Japanese level of customer service try Nikkei Credit Union for great rates and very friendly service. Most of the staff are bilingual in English and Japanese. They even have a bilingual Spanish/English teller. Membership is open to anyone of Japanese ancestry including non-Japanese family members. Membership options are available for non-Japanese as well. They have branches in West LA Gardena and Costa Mesa at the time of this review. Services include ATMs debit cards checking home banking & bill pay. Popular loan options include first mortgages home-equity lines of credit new & used autos. After two nightmare scenarios with car dealers Ive sworn never to use a dealer again. Auto brokers are the way to go for straightforward honest and reliable service. If you have an aversion to car dealers ask the staff at Nikkei Credit Union for a referal to a full service auto broker. They work with several bilingual Japanese/English auto brokers.
