Reviews: If you want to be pampered with the famous Japanese level of customer service, try Nikkei Credit Union for great rates and very friendly service. Most of the staff are bilingual in English and Japanese. They even have a bilingual Spanish/English teller. Membership is open to anyone of Japanese ancestry, including non-Japanese family members. Membership options are available for non-Japanese as well. They have branches in West LA, Gardena, and Costa Mesa at the time of this review. Services include ATMs, debit cards, checking, home banking & bill pay. Popular loan options include first mortgages, home-equity lines of credit, new & used autos. After two nightmare scenarios with car dealers I've sworn never to use a dealer again. Auto brokers are the way to go for straightforward, honest and reliable service. If you have an aversion to car dealers, ask the staff at Nikkei Credit Union for a referal to a full service auto broker. They work with several bilingual Japanese/English auto brokers.
