Reviews: Im pretty sure not all WAMU branches are like this one but service really sucks in general everywhere. I called in through their crappy automated service about a service charge on a FREE checking account with them. They basically charged me for FREE checks. Called to ask to reverse. The rep told me I had to come in and show proof of the checks that were initially sent to me. I told her that I couldnt and would like to resolve this over the phone. She placed me on hold for about 30-40 mins while she looked for a manager. As a matter of fact Im still on hold while Im typing this review. Save some time and your money. Ive done business with a lot of banks. I definitely recommend going with DOWNEY SAVINGS AND LOAN. Good luck with your banking experience. Not here for me.
