Reviews: I have had a checking account at Washington Mutual since they bought out Home Federal (which bought out Coast Federal). I decided to open a savings account last September at this branch Recently I was charged a massive amount of overdraft charges even though i had a savings account that was linked to my checking account. At least I thought it was linked - I could transfer funds from one to the other. Well when I made an accounting error (yes the inital error was mine) rather than have money from my savings transfer over to cover the check/debits that were coming into my account Washington Mutual was gracious enough to allow the overdraft cover these items. At $30 per pop I was nailed for around $180 in a 2-3 day period. I did not recieve any notification until over a week passed via the mail. Of course when i called them and spoke to 3 different people each one made it a point to explain to me that it was not bank error therefore they could not reverse more than one of the charges. However I feel lack of disclosure as to the features and functions (or lack thereof) by the account representative that set up the account does constitue at least in my mind a bank error. Common sense to me was that Washintong Mutual has my money in a savings account which is linked to my checking they can just move the money over. Apparently not and this was a feature that I needed to activate. Which I would have had I known that this was the case. But the WM employee failed to disclose it and now they ripped me off. I used to like Washington Mutual but I feel they have grown too large and unresponsive and I am currently searching for a new financial institution. Therefore IMO and experience Washington Mutual is NOT a good bank and I would advise against giving them your business.

Reviews: Three years ago I walked into this branch and opened a checking account. This lady checked my info and said that because I had a mortgage with CitiBank I can open a high interest checking account with no monthly fee. Okay whatever since this wasn???t my main checking account I didn???t really care. Four months ago I refinanced my mortgage with a different banker and just earlier this monthly that I realized I???ve been penalized $25/month for insufficient funding in my checking account. I called CitiBank and the reason was when I had my mortgage with CitiBank no minimum balance was required with this high interest checking account. Once my mortgage was out of the way I must maintain some high balance. Oh anybody care to tell me that? I wasn???t informed at all. So in the past 4 monthly I gained less than $4 from my high interest checking account but have been penalized $100 for insufficient funding. I walked into a different branch today this account specialist said that I signed the forms should have read the agreement and cannot blame CitiBank. Hello!? What happen to the ads that your friendly banks made that they always want to serve you and save your money? Suck your money out is really the case. I signed a paper to open a checking account and I should blame myself not reading the fine print. I got it!

Reviews: This tiny restaurant is worth going the extra 100 miles. It is beyond wonderful. I am not a salad eater but their Crab Louie was exquisite. Not to be missed. As for the oysters Im STILL purring.
